Who is Glenn Hopper?

Glenn Hopper is a multi-time CFO and finance and technology strategist who now leads RoboCFO.ai, a consulting practice focused on putting AI to work inside finance functions. He helps CFOs, heads of FP&A, and finance leaders move from experimenting with AI to actually implementing it: scoping the right use case, building it, governing it, and supporting it once it is live.

He brings more than two decades of experience leading finance transformation at the intersection of corporate finance, data, and AI. He is an adjunct faculty member at Duke Fuqua, an instructor for LinkedIn Learning, the Corporate Finance Institute, AICPA, and CIMA, and the author of three books on AI in finance, with work featured in Forbes, Fortune, Business Insider, and the Financial Times.

Is This You?

Glenn works with finance leaders at any stage of AI adoption, whether you are figuring out where to start, trying to ship a first use case, or scaling what is already running.

🧭

You know AI matters, but not where to start

The board or the CEO is asking about AI, you have a pile of tool demos, and no clear plan for what to actually build first or how to prove it works.
⚙️

You tried, and it stalled

A pilot or two went nowhere because of messy data, no governance, or a top-down rollout that the team never adopted. You want it done right this time.
🛡️

You need it to be defensible

You operate under SOX, GAAP, or IFRS, and “move fast and break things” is not an option. You need AI adoption with real governance behind it.

Why I’m recommending Glenn

Bottom line: he is my go-to resource for all things finance and AI. I co-host the Future Finance podcast with Glenn, so I have spent many hours hearing exactly how he thinks about AI in finance, where it works, and where it falls apart. I trust him.

There is a lot of AI hype in finance right now, and plenty of people happy to sell you a strategy deck. Glenn is not that. He cares about whether the thing actually ships and holds up under audit. When someone asks me who can help them implement AI in their finance org, he is the first name I give.

Full transparency: I earn a referral when someone I send works with Glenn, which is why I ask you to mention my name when you reach out. I only refer people whose work I would recommend regardless of any referral, and if Glenn is not the right fit for your situation, he will tell you, and so will I.

How Glenn Works: Four Stages, Enter Anywhere

As Glenn puts it: you can enter at any stage, and you can stop at any stage.

Stage 01 · Discover

Self-serve diagnostics

Glenn has several easy, low-commitment ways to get a read on where you stand: an AI Readiness Scorecard, a Finance AI ROI Calculator, and an AI Governance Policy Generator. A smart place to start.
Stage 02 · Diagnose

Advisory engagements

Three productized engagements. The Sprint is a three to four week diagnostic that surfaces use cases and maps a 90-day path. The Governance Pack builds the policy and rollout framework you need before anything ships. The Academy trains your finance cohort.
Stage 03 · Build

Production implementation

Two engagements that put AI into production. The Pilot ships one finance use case end-to-end with measurable ROI. The Transformation runs a multi-workstream program for organizations rolling out AI at scale, two or more concurrent use cases.
Stage 04 · Operate

Ongoing support

After production, finance teams need ongoing support. The Operations Retainer comes in three tiers: Essentials for small teams on one use case, Standard for two to four, and Embedded for enterprise orgs running a full AI program.

Glenn leads and delivers every engagement personally, so you are always working directly with him, not a rotating team of junior consultants.

Who this is not for: If you are an individual finance professional looking to upskill yourself on AI, this is not it. Frequently Asked Questions

Direct answers so you can decide with confidence.

Glenn helps finance leaders implement AI for real, not just talk about it. That runs from a quick read on your AI readiness, to an advisory sprint and governance work, to building and shipping a production AI use case end to end, to ongoing support once it is live. He meets you wherever you are: you can enter at any stage and stop at any stage.
CFOs, VPs and heads of FP&A, and finance leaders who need a credible partner to scope, build, or govern AI in their finance function. It is not a fit if you are an individual contributor looking to upskill yourself. For that, look at the cohort programs on the AI finance programs page instead.
Reach out through RoboCFO.ai and tell Glenn what you are trying to accomplish. Please mention that Paul Barnhurst, The FP&A Guy, sent you. It helps Glenn route the conversation, and it is how the referral is tracked on my end.
There is no standard price list. Glenn scopes every engagement to what you actually need, whether that is an advisory sprint or a full production build. Schedule a scoping call through RoboCFO.ai and he will size the engagement, and the price, to your situation.
I co-host the Future Finance podcast with Glenn, so I have spent many hours hearing how he thinks about AI in finance, and I trust him. He is a multi-time CFO who has done real finance transformation work, and he writes the books on it. When someone asks me who can help them implement AI in their finance org, he is the first person I point to.
Yes. I earn a referral when someone I send works with Glenn, which is why I ask you to mention my name. That said, I only refer people whose work I would recommend regardless of any referral, and Glenn is one of them. If he is not the right fit for your situation, he will tell you, and so will I.
